On August 9th, 2005, it was officially announced that the grant application submitted to the Ontario Trillium Foundation was accepted, and that the church would be receiving $58,600 to replace the roof furnaces, and the FOOTPRINTS program would receive $15,000 to hire a consultant to assist in the long-range strategic plan for the program. This was the culmination of months of effort by Glenn Brown, Corrine Brook-Allred, FOOTPRINTS, Murray Tetford and the Building Management Committee.
To celebrate the grant, the church hosted an acceptance event on Wednesday, August 31st, where our MPP, Wayne Aurthurs (also a long time church member), joined with representatives of the Trillium Foundation, the United Way, FOOTPRINTS personnel and many members of the congregation to formally accept the grant, and to receive a plaque.
