Welcome Rev. Carol Gillard!
Hello Folks: Wow! Here we are into October! Where did the month of September go? It was a busy month getting settled into a new routine but with your help, you made the transition very easy. Thank you for your kind welcome, the guidance and patience received throughout this transition.
From my experiences in the past, I learned that October is a very busy month; busier than September when we start up again after a lovely summer. Not only can we look forward to harvesting but we celebrate World Wide Communion Sunday, Thanksgiving, and of course Hallowe’en!
During the month of September, we saw the start of a new set of meetings within the United Church. The first ‘Cluster’ meeting was held at St. Paul’s in Bowmanville where many gathered from various churches within Region 11or better known as Eastern Central Ontario Regional Council or ECOR. The Cluster group intend to meet every two months to discuss issues within the region as well as developments within the United Church of Canada. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend these meetings. We will be advised as to when and where the next meeting will be held.
As we look forward to the month ahead, may God’s blessing be upon each and everyone of you!
