Advent Painting by one of our young artists Peter Stoll.
We are a church family who seeks to live the gospel message in our lives each day. We try to imitate Jesus in his inclusive love for all people as a beacon of hope.
We are a very diverse congregation with many gifts and a huge heart. We believe in encouraging everyone to find their gifts and share them generously. Our creative worship has something for everyone. We celebrate Communion each month, baptisms upon request. We honor Creation time and bless animals. We have special celebrations where we pray and anoint those living with difficult life situations. We have wonderful prayer shawl ministry and Friendly Visitors group as part of our caring. We sing out of Voices United and More Voices song books and our choirs share wonderful anthems. We have memorial hymn services as well as other services to mark the various faith moments of the Christian journey. We believe in the words "We are not alone".
We welcome people of all ages forming faith through our nursery, our children's programming as well as the Rejuvenation Council for older teens. For our Adults we are blessed with two bible study groups, a woman's book club and chances for workshops and sessions. We have a strong UCW group, and Affirming and Diversity group, eco-group and craft groups amoung the many groups here.
We try to embrace people with love as Jesus did. We believe we must stand in solidarity with those who find themselves at the margins. Our FOOTPRINTS 4 Autism program offers families with children living with Autism weekend respites. We support Operation Backpack for school supplies to young people. We support Joanne's House and at-risk homeless youth 16 to 24. Among the many ways we try and make a difference, we support the Massey Centre, Backdoor Mission, St. Paul's On-The-Hill food bank, First Nations issues and women's shelters.
