Announcements
Large-print versions of the order of service are available in the narthex, for those who would find them to be advantageous. Also, large-print editions of the hymn books that we use, Voices United and More Voices, are available at the back of the sanctuary.
The Dunbarton-Fairport congregation is currently without a music director, and while the temporary replacement musicians over the summer have been of the best quality, none of them is in a position to serve more permanently. If you or any of your friends know of someone who might be interested in the position, please have them contact the church office for more details.
Choir practice has resumed on Thursday evenings, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in the sanctuary. Pending arrangements for a music director, Don will be offering leadership. Anyone who loves to sing and wants to learn how to be a yet better singer as part of an ensemble is welcome to try us out for a Thursday evening or two!

Footprints 4 Autism invites you to be part of something very special in support of the programs and services that it offers. Footprints will be hosting its second annual “Stars of the Spectrum Gala,” on Saturday, September 26th, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at the Heydenshore Pavilion, 589 Water Street, Whitby. This promises to be a wonderful evening of connection, inspiration, and celebration. Guests will enjoy a three-course dinner, hear from a keynote speaker, listen to the personal story of a Footprints family whose life has been touched by our programs, participate in our raffle and fund-raising activities, and, of course, enjoy music, dancing, and fun! More than a fund-raiser, “Stars of the Spectrum Gala” is an opportunity to bring together community leaders, local businesses, advocates, families, and friends who share a commitment to creating inclusive spaces where every child and youth can thrive. Because Footprints is a volunteer-run charity, every sponsorship, donation, and ticket purchased directly supports programs for local children, youth, and families living with autism. For tickets, please contact Brittney-Rose Ward at 289-314-9077, or visit their website at www.zeffy.com/en-CA/ticketing/stars-of-the-spectrum-2nd-annual-gala.
